The in surgery system, Zoom. Will make your teeth significantly whiter in just about an hour. The procedure begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. The whitening gel is then applied which is designed to use with the Zoom bleaching light. The Zoom light and gel work together to gently penetrate your teeth, breaking up stains and discolouration.
With the take home system we will first need to take some accurate moulds of your teeth to make individualised trays which fit your mouth well and are comfortable to use. Depending on your lifestyle and sensitivity of your teeth we can then choose a concentration of gel which may work after just 30 mins a day or overnight while you are asleep! These trays can be used for further sessions and more whitening agent can be purchased later for you to reapply at your convenience.
As with everything not every treatment type suits every patient.
Although the success and acceptance of the “at home” technique has been phenomenal, it has not eliminated the in office technique. Some people´s lifestyles do not lend themselves to extended treatment times, or outside the office appliances. Also, some people may not be willing to wait the time for home bleaching to be effective or may not be able to wear the tray and tolerate the taste of the solutions used in at home.
In addition we must of course do an initial full examination to check your suitability for any whitening process and discuss the effectiveness of this treatment for your case.
