This patient had extensive wear of his upper teeth caused by a combination of dietary acid (erosion), grinding (attrition) and trauma. He was concerned about their appearance but surprisingly had no symptoms of pain and sensitivity. However, he readily admitted that due to fear he had waited over 20 years to come to the dentist!
We decided to do a course of treatment to treat underlying dental disease and included whitening and porcelain restorations (veneers and crowns).
A Happy Patient
In just over a month treatment was all completed and he was finally able to smile with confidence! Of equal importance, he admitted that he was no longer a dental phobic, had a lot more understanding about dental disease and he would be a motivated, regular attender in the future!
